Hannity’s Career In Limbo, After He Is Revealed To Be Cohen’s Mysterious Client

Attorney and regular Fox News guest Alan Dershowitz tore into host Sean Hannity on Monday for not being up front about his relationship with Michael Cohen, President Trump‘s attorney, during his many discussions about Cohen over the past few weeks.

Dershowitz, a known supporter of Trump even amidst his legal troubles, was brought on to talk about former FBI Director James Comey’s Sunday night interview on ABC News, but instead chose to tackle the Monday night revelation that Hannity is Cohen’s mysterious third client.

“I really think you should have disclosed your relationship with Cohen,” Dershowitz explained, calling it a “complicated situation.”

“It was minimal,” Hannity fired back.

“I understand that, and you should’ve said that,” Dershowitz, an opinion contributor for several news sources, responded. “You were in a tough position because, A, you had to talk about Cohen, and, B, you didn’t want the fact hat you had spoken with him to be revealed.”

“I have the right to privacy,” Hannity interrupted. “It was such a minor relationship.”

“You should have said that,” Dershowitz added.

Hannity was discovered to be Cohen’s client during a Monday afternoon hearing connected to last week’s FBI raids of Cohen’s office and home. Cohen’s attorney only revealed Hannity’s identity after a judge ordered him to.

“I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective,” Hannity later tweeted, adding that those conversations “dealt almost exclusively about real estate.”
